Visa problems

I'm afraid visas and entry requirements are a minefield and we really would not feel happy giving you advice on something which varies so much from nationality to nationality. I'm afraid the best people to speak to are the Spanish Embassy, which you have already organised.

hello gary,
recently i have returned to my home country(england) from peru via madrid...i travelled with my wife who is peruvian and was told as long as we spent no longer than 24hrs in the airport and we had connection flights a VISA WOULD NOT BE NECCESARY...when we landed in madrid my wife was unable to leave terminal 3 because her visa was only for great britain...so i had to recover both bags and plead with easy jet officials to let me check in with her passport.....now we are due to fly back on the 29th with british airways and leave madrid on the 30th with lan....it is under the 24hr period and i guesss it would be ok to sleep in the deperture lounge but how does my wife check in?? we have tried to contact spanish embassy in england but have been told we cant get an appointment until 22nd of november which is leaving things a littlew late to apply for transit visa..do you know of any other way????
yours faithfully mr gibb
