Lost luggage on Iberia flight

Hi Chloe,

I don't know whether you need to return the paperwork to Iberia at Barcelona Airport or Iberia Head Office. If you are calling 902 341 342 this is the general number for lost luggage and their postal address is Iberia, Lost Luggage Claim, Apartado de correos 36.299, 28080 Madrid, Spain. They suggest if you can't get hold of them you contact them at the local airport. If you are ringing 934 013 129 this is the number at Barcelona Airport and their postal address is Iberia Lost Luggage, Barcelona Airport, El Prat de Llobregat, Barcelona 8820, Spain.

If you have a different contact number let me know and I will try and work out where it's located!

Hi Gary,

When we were in Europe a few months ago our luggage was lost on our Iberia flight from Rome to Barcelona. Both bags were returned to us. One after 3 days in Barcelona and the other after 5 days in Paris. We were told we were allocated 53EURO per day per bag by Iberia Airlines after we registered our luggage as missing.

They told us that all we had to do was send in the receipts as well as the documentation (which we have) that we received from them. however, we do not have any details on where we can sent it.

Do you have an email address I can contact them on? I have tried calling the number (from Australia) that was listed when we registered our lost luggage but I am left on hold for what seems like forever.

Thank you,
Chloe

Probably no one will ever receive any refund from IBERIA for lost luggage, even after sending a huge quantity of requested documentation plus receipts. I have send my complaint by special registerd courier in September/07 and I have confirmation of reception of my letter. IBERIA does not even answer to the complaints. I think this is a police case or maybe some arrangement to promote sales to tourists of basic things, clothing, etc that are lost with the luggage. If you can don't use IBERIA.

I'm in Spain now (from the States) via London to Madrid to San Sebastian -flying BA partnering with Iberia and my one and only piece of luggage has yet to arrive - five days later. All I read is beyond discouraging and I am beginning to think deceptive. I've filed a 'claim' and have a PIR number - and call several times a day and get the same story.

I'd love to have an address as to where this "warehouse" is for luggage. Tonight, I learned that there are 1000's of pieces and ONLY 10 employees - busy "registering the suitcases" in the data base.

I can't imagine why I'd ever fly BA or Iberia again.
