Easyjet cancelled route from Gatwick to Almeria

Hi Sue,

I haven't heard anything about another airline taking this on. But Easyjet have today announced that they have acquired GB Airways - details at http://www.ukairportguide.co.uk/blog.html - with effect from next March and will be operating new services out of Gatwick so I wouldn't despair as it may well be that they will reinstate the Gatwick-Almeria route in the Spring. I will let you know if I hear any more.

I have just heard from Easy Jet that they will be ceasing their flights from LGW to Almeria from 1 December 2007. Do you know if any other airline will be taking over this route - I used to fly with GB airways until Easy Jet took over the route and am now concerned about being able to get direct to Almeria from Gatwick next year, we usually travel out to Almeria 3+ times per year and often take friends with us - will be devasted if no other airline is taking on this route.
