Travelling from Madrid to Toledo

Hi Sarah

The last train to Toledo from the Renfe station in Madrid is at 21.50 so you are highly unlikely to be able to catch it. Follow this link for the timetables http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.jsp?page=hjhir130.jsp&O=MADRI&D=92102&AF=2007&MF=MM&DF=DD&SF=NaN&ID=i

It's an 89km journey so a taxi will cost in the region of €120 and I can't find any bus links. So it sounds as though you might be staying overnight at the airport. The good news is that it stays open for 24 hours so you will be able to get something to eat and drink and the first train leaves from the centre of Madrid early in the morning. If you need details of buses from the airport into Madrid go to http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/madrid-airport-bus.html

Hope this helps.

Linda

Hi Gary,

Great website!

I am a college student studying in Toledo for the year and a taking a
weekend trip to Iceland the second week I arrive. I just realized
that I arrive back at Madrid Barajas at 10:50 pm on a Sunday night.
Do you have any recommendations on how to get back to Toledo safely
that late when I'm traveling by myself? Or should I hang out
somewhere in the airport until morning?

Thanks for any advice!

Sarah
