Meeting place in Madrid Airport

Madrid is a very large international airport and the customs clearance takes place in each terminal so your family will go through in 4 and you will go through 1. A good place to meet in terminal 1 is the Inter 3 cafeteria which is in the public zone on the ground floor there.

I am meeting family at Madrid airport. I come in at terminal 1 and they come in at 4. Do we all go through customs in the same location? If not can you suggest a good meeting place in terminal 1?
