Lost luggage at Madrid Airport

Good to hear of a happy ending for a change!

Hi Linda

That would have been really helpful, many thanks for taking the time to respond but today we have just been told that our luggage has been found. We had a really great person at Gatwick looking after things for us and it appears she identified our cases this morning, almost three weeks later! The airline has been hopeless from beginning to end.

Thanks again,

Adam

Hi Adam,

Lost luggage this year has been a huge problem all over the world and we have been inundated with messages asking for help. The only glimmer of hope I can give you is that there is huge backlog and hopefully your luggage is still being held somewhere. The contact numbers for lost luggage for Aerolineas Argentinas at Madrid Airport are their ground handling agents who are Newco on 913 243 232 (at airport) or 902 131 435 (Madrid Office) or you can email them on llmad@newcoas.es

Good luck with finding it.

Linda

Hello Gary,

My family's luggage has been missing since 8 September, we think in Madrid en route to Gatwick from Buenos Aires.

We are in contact with the airline, Aerolineas Argentinas and also a very helpful person at Gatwick, however, we are no closer to reclaiming our property and neither the airline or Gatwick appear to have any information.
Do you know of anyone we can contact at Madrid by phone or email that might be able to provide us with more information? My wife speaks and writes Spanish so communication wouldn't be a problem.

As far as we are aware there appears to be a delay in getting the bags from Madrid to Gatwick.

If you have any thoughts/advice on this we would be very grateful. Feel free to copy this to your blog.

Many thanks for a helpful website.

Adam Elston

Unfortunately I don't have a fix for the problem you're currently in, but I wanted to pass along the name Global Bag Tag along with their link. Like I said, it won't fix your current problem, but you'll know about them for next time :)
