Left luggage at Madrid Airport
Hi Aemelia,
There are left luggage facilities in terminals 1, 2 and 4 at Madrid Airport. Details are as follows: price for locker rental: part or whole of one day: €3.60 (large, medium and small locker); from two to five days: large locker, €4.64; medium locker, €4.13; small locker €3.61. Storage from day fifteen on: €1.85.
All baggage left at the left-luggage office passes through an x-ray checkpoint to verify that they do not contain dangerous items or objects.
To use the left-luggage office:
* Request the key from the desk personnel. You must show your passport or identity card.
* Get a token from the vending machine (it takes coins and notes).
* Pass your baggage through the security scanner.
* Open the locker with the key and put your baggage inside
* Enter the token in the slot and close with the key. Keep your key as it is your evidence of deposit.
So you will need the key to collect the bag.

Hi Gary,
I was wondering how the luggage system works. A friend of mine has my bag and I need to pick it up before I fly out of Madrid Airport. Is it possible for him to leave the bag at terminal 2 or 4 and me to be able to pick it up 2 weeks later, or will I need a key etc?
Cheers,
Aemelia
