Getting from Reus to Coma Ruga
Hi again Dawn,
You just need your small photo driving licence and passport (as well as booking confirmation) when picking up a hire car in Spain.
Linda
Hi Linda
Thank you once again I will book witrh the company you recommend Just one more tiny question and I promise to leave you alone. What documents do I need to hire a car in spain I have my photo driving licence but not sure if i need the paper one as well I did in greece but will have to hunt it out again if i do as I have no idea where it is.
Thank you
Dawn
Hi Dawn,
It's much easier if you book a car beforehand as you won't have to start filling in forms when you arrive, and and often you can get a better deal by doing this, We use a firm called Cartrawler a lot as they hold a database of local car rental agencies which they match your requirements against to come up with a competitive quote. You can get a free, no obligation costing at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/car-hire-spain.html

Hi Linda
Thank you so much for all that info I think I will be just as well to hire a car price wise for a week as I have an earlyish flight home.
Just one more question would you suggest i book online before i go or hire car at the airport on arrival?
Thank you
Dawn
Hi Dawn,
It's a 47km journey so a taxi from outside the arrivals hall at the airport will cost in the region of €75-80.
The bus option is to get a bus from the airport to Tarragona - details at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/reus-airport-buses.html and then get a taxi from the bus station, but is still a 35km journey. The Barcelona bus route is no good to you at all.
You other alternative is to get a bus or taxi to the Renfe Railway Station in centre of Reus (details at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/reus-airport-taxis.html) and get a train to El Vendrell (Sant Vicenc de Calders station) link to timetables and prices at http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.jsp?page=hjhir110.jsp&O=?&D=?&AF
=2007&MF=MM&DF=DD&SF=NaN&ID=i and then get a taxi from there to Coma Ruga which is a 3km journey and will cost you about €6.
Hope this helps.
Linda
