Getting to Malaga from Portugal

Hi Linda,

Unfortunately there are no fights from Malaga into Faro. There is no train service but you can get a bus from Malaga bus station to Marbella bus station and then get a connection to Seville where you can catch a bus to Faro. Details of timetables, etc from Malaga, can be found at http://www.ctsa-portillo.com/ima/pdf/malaga-estacion.pdf for Marbella to Seville at http://www.ctsa-portillo.com/ima/pdf/marbella.pdf and for Seville to Faro http://www.faroairportguide.com/faro-to-seville.htm

Personally I would do the 4/5 hour drive. The major car hire companies can arrange for you to hire a car which be picked up in Spain and dropped off in Portugal. Another alternative is to get the bus into Seville and hire a car from there as the drive down Malaga is very straightforward.

Hope this helps.

Hi Gary,
just happened to come across your e-address. Maybe you can help me.

We will be in Malaga for a week in May, then for a week in Albufeira (near Faro) Potugal. Do you know of any direct flights? Does it make sense to drive, since we will have to have a car in both places, or is it better to take bus/train and then rent car ?

Would be very greatful for any info.

Thank you so mch.

Sincerely, Linda Golasa
