Getting from Girona to Sitges

Many thanks Linda
Dave

Hi Dave,

There is no direct train from Girona to Sitges, but you can go via Barcelona - details at http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.jsp?page=hjhir110.jsp&O=
?&D=?&AF=2007&MF=MM&DF=DD&SF=NaN&ID=i

To get from Girona to Barcelona you can either get a bus from the airport - details at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/girona-airport-buses.html or a train from the centre of Girona to Barcelona Sants Station - http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.jsp?page=hjhir130.jsp&O=79300&D=
BARCE&AF=2007&MF=10&DF=01&SF=1&ID=i

Your other option is to take a bus from Girona Airport to Barcelona and make a transfer to Sitges. You need to get the Mon-Bus and you can find details of where it stops and the timetable at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/barcelona-airport-buses.html

The buses seem the best option as the train timetables could mean you have to wait around a bit.

The final alternative is that you get to Barcelona and then get a taxi. Sitges is a 35km journey which should take around half an hour from there and cost in the region of €50-60.

Hope this is of some help.

Linda
