Travelling from Porto to San Pedro de Moel in Portugal

You will need to check this out with the major car hire companies who operate from Porto Airport. They are www.avis.com, www.budget.com , www.hertz.com, www.europcar.com and www.sixt.com. The best thing is to check their websites and email them regarding payment. The problem you will have is that they ask for a credit card to secure the booking, but it may be that they have plenty of cars available on the day and you can pay cash when you collect it.

You will see that the train departs from the middle of Porto and you need to make a change to get to Fatima. i cannot find any record of a station at San Pedro de Moel.

We live in Spain and are a Spanish Airport guide so my knowledge of the Portuguese transport system is by no means extensive but I have checked all the transport websites I know of and am afraid this is all I can come up with. Hope it is of some help.

I found your very useful site whilst doing an internet search. I would be grateful for advise if possible.

On this Friday we are travelling from Madrid to Porto by plane. When we get to Porto we then need to do a 122 mile journey to San Pedro de Moel (Marinha Grande), which is 25miles from Fatima in Portugal.

I'd like to ask you 3 questions and hope you can help. We will not be taking a credit card so will be using cash and a debit card. Do you know of any hire car companies that will accept cash or debit card as payment and security as that it one way we could travel? Also could you advise on train or bus routes that could get us to San Pedro de Moel, how long it takes and prices?
