Spanair at Barcelona

Hi Eleni,

This is the worst possible time of the year for lost baggage with the Spanish Airports stretched to their limits and a lot of temporary staff being employed. I would take the matter into your own hands and telephone Spanair at Barcelona. Their number there is 932 983 362 , or an email them at:attcliente@spanair.es

Hope you manage to locate your bag.

Linda

Dear Gary,

I have been missing my suitcase for over a week (arrived on Aug. 5 to
Madrid via the U.S. on U.S. Airways, then Madrid to Barcelona on
Spanair). There are lots of things I need beyond the daily in the
suitcase, like manuscripts, etc., etc. I've been calling Spanair's
handling agent, Newco, every single day, and they seem useless, as far
as I can tell. They say they think the bag is Barcelona, and that they
will email the airport to verify that, but every time I call back they
have not received an answer, and they can't seem to find any other way
to get information. Do you have any advice? Is it worth going to the
airport myself? (I"m not sure I can access the necessary areas w/o a
ticket to travel that day.) Would speaking to Spanair directly be of
use?

I so appreciate any help in this matter.

Thank you!
Eleni
