Shipping goods from Rome to Spain

Hello, I found your web page and I'm looking for any suggestions regarding shipping luggage separately from the passenger either via the airlines or another service without paying exorbitant prices as some business' want to charge.

My daughter is spending the Fall semester in Alcala, Spain. She is first traveling to Rome with her brother and traveling by rail for a week ending in on 8/26 when she is due to meet her school coordinator at the Madrid airport. For the week of travel from Rome she obviously does not need her semester's worth of "stuff". We would like to either ship it directly to the family home she'll be staying with or to the Madrid airport for her to pickup when she arrives there. Do you have any recommendations? She is flying Continental from the US into Rome.
