Lost luggage at Barcelona Airaport
Hi Jim,
I'm afraid this is the crazy time of year for lost luggage with the Spanish Airports stretched to their limits and lots of temporary staff working for them, so what you are experiencing is par for the course. It sounds as though you have all the relevant numbers to try and track the bag down and are doing all you can. The only other thing I can suggest is that persevere with what you are doing until you wear them down and also ring the Aena (Spanish Airport Authority) helpline on 902 404 707 to see if they can assist.
Sorry not to be more positive.
Linda
Hi Gary, my 18 year old daughter flew American Airlines from Seattle to Madrid via Miami on July 29. The overseas carrier from Miami was Iberia. Her one bag containing all of her favorite clothes that she bought herself with tip money from her job never arrived in Madrid in time for her connection to Barcelona. She reported the lost bag to the airline and her address in Barcelona, got a tracer number, did all she could. It never arrived in Barcelona before her departure to Dublin and return home on August 7. We have sent emails to the airline through their lost luggage link and gotten no reply. We have called and been told they will call us the next day and they don't call. When we call we have been hung up on and still given no information on the lost bag. What can we do to find this bag. HELP!
