Bringing foodstuffs in Spain
Many Thanks Linda,
Much appreciated.
Regards,
Janine.
Hi Janine,
If you are flying into Spain you should follow this link it will tell you what foodstuffs can be transported in your hand luggage http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm#10.
Generally and according to European Commission regulations travellers may not bring foodstuffs of animal origin into Spain as part of their baggage (meats, meat products, milk and dairy products). The only exceptions to this are powdered milk for children in commercial packaging, and special foodstuffs required for medical conditions. Other foodstuffs can be brought into Spain up to a maximum weight of one kilogram.
Hope this answers your queries.
Linda
Hello Gary,
I just need some information which I could not find on your web-site. I hope that you will be able to help me. I need to check on what are the restrictions in bringing any meat products/fish/dairy products and nuts when coming into the country. Will you be able to advise me on this please.
Many Thanks.
Janine.
