Rest room facilities at Madrid Airport

There are several VIP/rest lounges at Madrid Airport which you can use and the facilities are god there. I think by the time you have landed and cleared customs it will not be worth your going to a hotel to return at the crack of dawn the following day. You could end up paying for a night at a hotel and only spending 4-5 hours there.

I will be travelling to Rome via London/Madrid. My plane arrives at 11pm at Madrid and the leaves for Rome at 7am the next morning. Is it worthwhile booking into a hotel for the few hours - or should I stay in the transit lounge.
