Papers needed when travelling with child when you are not legal guardian

Dear Linda
Thank you for your help it is greatly appreciated.
Regards
Dawn

Hi Dawn,

We are part of the EU so our rules are the same as Portugal and you will need to provide the same documentation as you did for them. Spanish immigration will probably not bother to ask for it or check it, but I would bring it all just in case.

Hope you have a good flight.

Linde

Hello there
Do I need to provide any documentation from the parents of a child of 17 who will be travelling with me and my family? The reason I ask this was when I travelled to Portugal last year I was told I needed a letter of consent from the parent plus copies of their passports. I know each country has different rules and I wanted to check first before I fly on Friday.
I look forward to your response.
Regards
Dawn Thompson
