Lost luggage at Palma

Hi Nuala,

What a miserable end to your holiday. Unfortunately at this time of the year we are getting a lot of messages regarding lost property and missing luggage, and the Spanish Airports are getting worse and worse at answering their telephones as the number of passengers increases.

I know none of this helps you, but be assured that you are not alone in having to wait. The handling company you mention is not listed at Palma Airport so suspect you travelled on a charter flight. All I can suggest is that you try the Iberia lost luggage numbers because you should get a response from them and at least you can check if you have right number for Penauille Servistair. Their numbers are:

+34 971 789 979 /971 789 972 /902 341 342

Sorry I have no magic answer to your problem, and hope you get some joy from these numbers. Let me know if you're still stuck and we'll try and come up with something else.

Linda

Hi Gary

I am emailing you out of complete desperation as I feel I am getting no where. On Tuesday 3rd July 2007 myself, husband and two teenage sons checked in at gate 196 in Palma airport for fight to Belfast for departure at 12.10pm. We checked in 5 pieces of luggage, however on arrival in Belfast only 4 were present. We have done what has been asked as in filling in appropriate forms and telephoned for update and up to date no information on were this has went. I know that this is happening to other people every day but it has caused great distress as there are items within it which we cannot afford to replace just at present. The flight no was MYT962 and the red suitcase which is missing a handle is XH 001628. I feel there is no one to discuss this matter with whom has empathy with our situation. The handling agent is Penauille Servistair and phone number given to us to ring is 02894484604, however when you ring this it is mostly answering machine. Surely someone is accountable for this loss of luggage.

Gary I appreciate any assistance or advice you could give.

Nuala McAliskey

This is exactly why I use Global Bag Tags. No matter how many stops on your itinerary, they can get your luggage back to you in a much more timely manner.
