Geting from Marbella to Calpe

Ouch! .... Thanks for the quick response. I think the car is looking favourable, or we might re-think the holiday plans.

Regards,

Gavin.

Hi Gavin,

Calpe is over 600km from Marbella and a 6 hour drive. There is no train station at Marbella (the nearest one is in Malaga).

My advice would be not to attempt it by public transport as Calpe does not have a train station (nearest ones at Alicante or Murcia) and there is no direct train from Malaga (you have to go via Murcia or Almeria with several changes). The bus services are very limited and you would be changing a horrendous number of times to get into Calpe.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but with two young children I would hire a car. You can get a competitive quote at http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/car-hire-spain.html

Hope you manage to sort something out.

Linda

Hi Gary,
We are staying near Marbella for a week then we are hoping to spend a week near Calpe. We are total novices when it comes to spanish transport and are wondering what is the best method of transport between the 2 resorts, bearing in mind we will have 2 young children travelling with us. We were told the trains are a good form of transport, but we cannot find station, times and pricing details - please help if you can.
Regards,
Gavin.
