Disabled facilities at Palma Airport

Hi Jan,

Unfortunately I can't be of much help. As you already know the airport are very clear that they will only arrange assistance within the terminal building as far as baggage reclaim, and it is up to the passengers to get to the tour company in the arrivals hall for onward transport to their bus.

All I can suggest is that you telephone the Spanish Airport Authority info line on +34 902 404 704 and see if they have any staff at Palma who can help.

The only other suggestion I can make is to contact the airline they are travelling with and see if they can arrange something with their handling agent's ground staff at Palma.

I am sorry not to be of more help as I know how difficult this is having had a mother who was wheelchair bound for several years. I just hope they manage to sort something out for you.

Hi Gary,
I wonder if you can help please. My Mum and her husband are going to be
traveling from Edinburgh Airport to Palma Airport to join an Island Cruise
on 14th August. Due to various illnesses they need help at Palma. I can
arrange wheel chairs for them at Palma Airport to take them from the plane
to the baggage reclaim area but not beyond that. I need them to be taken
from the baggage reclaim area to the bus which takes them to the ship. They
did the same journey last year and couldn't get any help from the baggage
reclaim area to the bus. They got into a terrible state last year and ended
up spending the first 3 days of their holiday in their cabin. I have spoken
to Island Cruises Special Needs Dept and they can't help. Can you please
give me some advice.

Many thanks and kind regards
Jan Summers
