That worked!! I have found a car hire pick-up point literally just round the corner from my hotel – perfect!

Thanks for your help. I’m so impressed that someone is prepared to be willingly of assistance in this day and age for no apparent commercial gain. I must say that I am really looking forward to my trip to Barcelona now.

The downtown address for Atesa is the RENFE railway station which is Barcelona Sants Station at Plaça dels Països Catalans.
