Advance Passenger Info

Hi John,

We have written an article on Advance Passenger Information http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/2007/06/api-advance-passenger-information.html but it seems that the Spanish Authorities have decided that it is too disruptive to implement it during the high season and it has been deferred until September. I know things can change again, but it seems that the strip at the back of your passport contains all the relevant information and just needs to be swiped at your departure airport, or if you are travelling with Easyjet or BA they are contacting passengers in advance for this information.

I have been told by a friend there is a new regulation when travelling to Spain, Ibiza ETC I aver booked to go to Ibiza in September but I understand the Spanish Airport authorities need information regarding passport details before travelling is this correct?
