My luggage was lost at Barcelona

Dear Gary
I wonder whether you can help me. Two weeks ago I arrived back from Barcelona to Coventry Airport only to find that my luggage hadn't followed me. Since then the Baggage Services Department employed by Thomsonfly to trace lost luggage have sent many requests to Barcelona requesting whether my luggage is still there, but after two weeks of emailed requests Barcelona have failed to respond.
Do you know why only emailed requests are sent and who at Barcelona would receive them. I've spoken to the Baggage Services Department today but they don't seem to be able to move this forward for me at all.
It is such a stressful situation enough without the lack of communication that seems to be the generally accepted by the Services concerned.
Anyway, any helpful advice would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards.
Lynda.

Hi Lynda

Sorry to hear about your problem.

You are not alone if that helps, luggage is constantly going missing from all airports even in the UK. Its is a nightmare as everyone tries to blame everyone else. The airline blames the airport, the airport blames the airline etc etc.

Here is a list of numbers for baggage handlers at Barcelona Airport

The main Airport Number for all of Spain is 0034 902 404 704 if you wanted to give them a call.

I do hope you get your suitcase back and can just say keep calling or emailing.

Regards

Joanne
