Getting from Seville to Faro

Hi David,

We're delighted to help but don't have very good news for you I'm afraid. The 16.30 bus departs from Plaza de Armas Bus Station in the centre of Seville so it is unlikely that you will be able to collect your luggage and get there in the hour you have - that is all supposing that your flight is on time and if you are travelling in the high season between now and September I would say the chances are very slim.

There is no direct flights from Seville to Faro and no train from Sevilla Santa Justa station direct to Portugal. One option is to get to Seville city centre and then take the bus to Malaga http://www.movelia.es/transicion_alsa/venta.asp or train www.renfe.es and then catch a bus to Faro from https://www.alsa.es/VentaParticulares/AGVenta It's a long trip, but it is the cheaper option with the return trip from Malaga to Faro costing €59, and the only other option really is to hire a car and drive it.

Good luck with it

Linda

Hi Gary,

I came across your site and see that you dont seem to mind helping people with travel difficulties out- so hopefully you dont mind in my case.

Quick question: We willl be arriving into seville at 15.25. We need to get to faro. I saw the post that you put ont he site from evo-bus, they have a bus going from seville to faro at 16.30.
http://www.eva-bus.net/home_pesquisa2.php?servico=0&origem=Sevilha&destino=Faro&Procurar=Search
Can you tell me where that bus leaves from? Are we likely to be able to make the 16.30 bus to faro if our flight arrives in at 15.25?

If not, is there any other way' train, bus or flight, that you can suggest of getting from seville to faro without spending a fortune?

Thanks for any help you can give,

Regards,

Hello,

I've recently moved to Faro and have been to Seville a few times, but have mostly driven back and forth. So by car its about a 2.5 hour drive. However we recently found really inexpenive flights from Madrid direct to Faro. On a recent trip from Madrid we paid 2Euro for a one way flight to Faro. Considering its summer still it might be a bit more expensive but you may have more luck traveling from Seville to Madrid then a quick flight over, and it could be cheaper. Sounds strange to go north to come south but might be an option to consider. Don't know if that helps at all.
Good luck!
