From Seville to Faro by Bus

My husband and I are travelling to Seville on the 11 July - we are spending 3 days in the area before moving on to Faro. Can you tell me if there is a bus service/train service between Seville and Faro? We initially wanted to hire a car in Seville and drive to Faro where we would drop it off (we have an apartment in Alvor and were going to get a taxi from Faro to Alvor) unfortunately we were not aware of the extra cost of hiring a car in one country and dropping it off in another. Can you help? and if not could you point me in the correct direction?
