Disability services at Malaga Airport

Hi Shirley

Malaga Airport does usually have good disability services, but it's now the high season and it's all a bit chaotic there with the extension work that's going on. And as you know the Spanish can be a bit laid back at times!

Glad your partner eventually got back safely.

Linda

Hi Gary

We have recently returned from Spain, flying out of Malaga.
There were no wheelchairs available either in arrival or departure areas.
When we departed from Malaga (28th May 07) my partner was taken off on a buggy, and I did not see him for at least another hour. Our gate was not displayed on the viewing board therefore I couldn't find him. When arriving at gate I was told he had been put on the plane….. only to find him sitting strapped in a portable folding chair on the tarmac!! He was physically lifted onto the plane by 4 men.
We shall definitely take our own wheelchair in future.
Hurrah for our British airports, the help at Luton was fantastic.

Regards,
Shirley
