Morning Tim,The Car Trawler booking engine goes to each individual companies database and brings back a list of cars that are available and the prices they are being offered at. It can't reveal the supplier brand because people could then book direct. Of course all the car hire companies that are involved have an agreement with Car Trawler and must abide to their Terms of Business.In essence Car Trawler are a broker in the same way Holiday Autos are.I do however understand your concern and the best thing I can suggest is to call the Car Trawler helpline and see if they can give you the assurances you are looking for. If its any comfort for you we pass over 500 bookings per month to car trawler and I have had just 3 complaints this year (07). I know in an ideal world you wouldn't want any but I am impressed with that!
