Baggage weight limits
Hi Karen,
Baggage weight restrictions vary slightly from airline to airline, but as a general rule take 20kg as the maximum allowed in the hold plus one item of light hand luggage. Your son's 50lb (22.67kg) bag will probably take him take him straight over the limit. The charge for excess baggage is about 1GBP or €1.50 per kilo so he will have to pay extra I'm afraid.

My son is a student studying abroard in Granada, he would like to take a flight from Granada to Madrid, he was told that there is a luggage restriction regarding the weight of luggage. He has 2 bags one weighs 50 lbs and the other about 30 lbs, is this going to be a problem?? Will there be an additional fee for his luggage, if so how much extra will it cost. Thank you, Karen D'Abrosca
