Alicante Airport - Stolen from Suitcase
Dear Gary
My sister in law recently flew from Alicante to Birmingham after
staying with us here in Spain
Somewhere between check-in at Alicante and collecting her bag from the
carrousel at Birmingham, her bag was opened and two sleeves of
cigarettes removed
Our concern is less for the loss of the cigarettes but more for the
security aspect. We regularly fly this route in both directions and, if
something can be removed from a case when it is out of our control,
what could be put into a case, which is then loaded on to the aircraft?
This info really needs to get to the security section/department, but I
can't find an appropriate e-mail address - any ideas?
Many thanks
My Reply
Hi
Sorry for the delay.
Unfortuantely this is happening all the time with jewellery, cameras and more going missing.
The airlines, blame the airport, which then blame the luggage handlers and it just carries on. I will post your comments up on the message board as someone hopefully will want to do something about this.
Regards
Joanne
