ADVANCE PASSENGER INFORMATION

Hi Dave,

We have written an article on Advance Passenger Information http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/2007/06/api-advance-passenger-information.html but it seems that the Spanish Authorities have decided that it is too disruptive to implement it during the high season and it has been deferred until September. I know things can change again, but it seems that the strip at the back of your passport contains all the relevant information and just needs to be swiped at your departure airport, or if you are travelling with Easyjet or BA they were contacting passengers in advance for this information.

Don't think you need to worry about it.

Regards

Linda

Hi I am flying to Palma Airport at the end of this week and have beentold passengers are asked to give information as they arrive, worse still this info is collected manually ie written down. Is this the case? and if so is there anyway the info can be forwardedearly to avoid this situation. Thanks Dave

I have read here that the Advanced Passenger Information required for flights to Spain (we are going to Lanzarote) have been deferred until September. Is this definatly the case?
