ADVANCE PASSENGER INFORMATION

Thanks for that. We heard about this a couple of weeks ago and put together an article on API on our Spanish Airports Guide home page http://www.spanish-airport-guide.com/2007/06/api-advance-passenger-information.html. The current word from the UK is that the Spanish Authorities have now decided it would be too disruptive to introduce it now and have shelved the whole thing until September (date not yet announced)!

The worst case scenario at the main airports seems to be that if your airline has not already collected the information online, your passport will be swiped at check in. Apparently the bar code on it already contains all this information.

Not sure if you have seen this yet, ut it seems to be causing a lot of panic back in the UK, my sister included and I have to inform both my Daughters before they travel to make sure that they have this information ready should it be needed.
