Wheelchair Hire at Palma Airport

Hi Gary
Have a little problem. We are taking a cruise out of Palma with my 80 year old mother. She has difficulty walking & I have been told that she will struggle to make it to the baggage reclaim from arrivals.I have tried to book a wheelchair to meet us from the tour operator, but they won't help us as she is not registered disabled (very unhelpful). Can you offer us any advice please ?
Thanks
Basil

Hi Basil

This answer requires faith!

On every flight I have ever been on in Spain you are met at the plane by electric buggies for elderly or disabled passengers.

Last night I flew into Malaga and there were 2 buggies duly waiting!

If you want to be sure you could try to call the Spanish Airport Authority and see what they say, they speak English and are on 0034 902 404 704

Hope all goes well

Regards

Gary
