Train from Alicante to Faro

I know it is a long way, over 500 miles, and I know that flights are also not direct and not really an option, I just wanted to know if there is a train service from Alicante to Faro, probably via Seville.I also know there is a coach service fronm Seville to Faro, I just wanted a bit of help about web sites and information where I can find out the timetables and maybe book the tickets. Time is not really a problem. Will probably get to Seville, stay overnight and then go on to Faro. Can you supply any of the information I need?

Hi Jamie

There are not any trains (that I know off, 99% sure) between Seville and Faro, so although you could get a train (with changes) between Alicante and Seville you would have to get the coach from there.

I have just checked the Spanish Train website and cant find any details of trains between Alicante and Seville, here is a link for the site in English, it may be better to call them as they could suggest a train route, via Madrid I imagine...
