Taxi or Metro to Madrid

Hi Gary, I arrive in Terminal 4 on American Airlines from Miami in June. Can you tell me if it is easier to take a taxi to the AVE train or is the Metro better. I appreciate your help! Thanks

Taxi is least daunting but metro is best and fairly easy.
