Selling off Plan in Spain

Hi Gary

Hope you are keeping well. We are buying a property in Spain off plan and wondered if we sell now (off plan) before it is completed do we still pay tax and if so how much??

Also

If we buy our apartment when it is completed and just use it as a holiday home for ourselves and our family how much tax will we be liable for if we decide to sell up within a year or two or would it be wiser to hold on to it for longer and then sell to avoid large tax bills.

We have been receiving conflicting guidance and thought that you would be the best one to give us impartial advice and hopefully put things straight!!!
