Malaga to Tarifa by Bus

Hi Gary,

I don't know if you can answer my question, soon to find out..

I am arriving at 12.35 on a wednesday in may at Malaga airport and the destination is Tarifa.

I understand that there is a bus that goes at 15.30 hrs, directly to Tarifa.. Do you know how long it takes to get to Tarifa with this bus?

I am travelling alone, and suspect it would be dark when I get to Tarifa.

I know I have to get a bus to Malaga Centre first right? Do you know how long it takes to get to Malaga Centre and do the buses go frequently?

I also understood that there is another possibility at Malaga Centre busstation: take the faster (?) bus to Algerciras Portillo. I do not know if it would be better to take this bus at 13.45 or 14.30 and then go on the bus Algeciras Tarifa (COMES).

Or to take the bus at 15.30 hrs, directly to Tarifa.

Maybe you can be of any help. That would be terrific!

Hi Annemieke,

Buses from the airport to Malaga Center run every 30 minutes.

I would have thought the best thing to do is get into Malaga first and then take the next bus to either Algerciras (and then change) or direct to Tarifa.

I would imagine the journey would take around 2 / 3 hours BUT it won-t be dark when you get there.
