Wheelchair Assisntace at Alicante

Hello GaryI have booked a flight for my mum and dad to come from Alicante to Birmingham next Wednesday. My mum has problems walking and needs wheelchair assistance once she gets to the airport - can you tell me how I can arrange this.

This is all the information about accessibilidad at Alicante Airport.

Regarding wheelchair help best to speak to your airline that you are flying with. Also generally, there are always buggies available to help people that need it.

The main measures adopted by Alicante airport have been:
Reserved, duly signposted parking spaces for the disabled.
Pavements with lowered edges or ramps.
Adapted toilets in all areas of the terminal.
Signposted lifts to connect the different floors.
Acoustic and visual information throughout the terminal.
Adapted telephone booths.
Leaflets available at airport information points (also in braille) containing passenger rights and information for the disabled.
Emergency intercoms connected to the safety control centre in toilets and lifts and sound signals in the latter.
Signalling on the edges of steps in yellow for the visually impaired.
Inclusion of normative, requirements and facilities for the disabled in all new airport designs, projects and work.
Regards

Joanne
