Barcelona, Port Aventura and Moto GP at Catalunya
I am planning on going to the Moto GP at the Catalunya circuit in Spain Fri 8/6 to Sun 10/6 and then onto Port Aventura (nr Reus airport) for Mon 11/6 to Friday 15/6
I was thinking of staying in Barcelona for the GP as I note we can get a train from Barcelona Sants to Montmelo (which is less than a mile from the circuit) - can you recommend any good hotels near Barcelona Sant or if you think there is a better place to stay with easy access to the circuit?
On Mon 11/6 we will need to get from this hotel to Port Aventura and wondered if the best way was to take a train but the Renfe website doesn't have details for trains in June!
Many thanks
Emma Drury
Sorry meant to add, ideally we would like to fly into Barcelona and out of Reus departing from and returning to the same London airport (pref Gatwick but can do Heathrow, Luton or Stanstead if necessary) but I can’t seem to find an airline that does this - can you help?
My Reply...
Hi Emma,
Hi Emma,
Sounds like a really great trip! I am envious.
I go to Barcelona quite a lot and its just like any other major city and has plenty of good value hotels and getting to Barcelona Sants for trains is very easy from anywhere in Barcelona.
I am not familiar with the area around the circuit so can't help with hotels there.
I just checked the train website and there seems to be a blip and you cant get good info for the trains to Port Aventura. I would call the train company, they speak english.
Good luck and I hope all goes well
You will have to fly with different airlines. Ryanair are the only airline to fly in and out of Reus!
for Barcelona see this page here.
