Madrid to Cabo Roig

Could you please give any advise on getting from Madrid to Cabo Roig - train or bus.
Im starying in Madrid for a few days but want to visit friends in Cabo Roig
just for an overnight stay.

It has taken alot of searching.

You cant get a train from Madrid to Cartagena.
Train Madrid to Cartagena

Then Cartagena is about 50kms from Cabo Roig.
