Tenerife South to Dublin and Cigarette Limits

Hi Gary, happy new year.

If i were to travel to Dublin from Tenerife South with Iberia i would have to change planes(with Iberia) at Madrid.

Do you know if it is similar to Barcelona airport where Transit passengers just go straight to the flight gate??

My case would be through checked to Dublin, i just want to bring a few ciggies back and am thinking about the best way, because at Dublin it would look like i have only come from Madrid and not Tenerife.

If i only had hand luggage would i go straight to the flight gate when i came off the tenerife flight?

Any info would be appreciated.

All the best and happy new year.

Hi M

The only difference between Madrid and Barcelona is that you have to leave the terminals to get from one to another!

You may find it easier to get the new direct flight from dublin to Tenerife North, it means a bit of a transfer in Tenerife but means no hassles with flight changes!
For Ciggies you are limited to a smaller BUT cheaper amount from Tenerife, whereas if you buy them in Madrid you can bring back up to 3200!

Hope all goes well

Regards

Gary

Hi Gary and thanks for your response.

Just thought that if i transit with hand luggage only from Tenerife or Gran Canaria it would look like i have come from either Barcelona or Madrid thus
getting past customs easier in Dublin.

M
