Layover from Madrid to Alicante

I am flying into Madrid later this year (May). What do you suggest I schedule for a leisurely layover time to go from a US Airways international arrival to a Span Air domestic flight to Alicante? Is 2+30 enough?

2+30 is about perfect BUT you would be cutting it fine if your flight is delayed for whatever reason from the USA!

Madrid is a very easy airport to get around, all signs are in English. All Info here.
