Buses and Trains Between Spain & Portugal

Having read your very knowledgeable answers and suggestions to tourists' travel queries in your blogs, I'm hoping that you could help us as well! My husband and I are on a 3 week vacation in Benalmadena, Jan.22-Feb.12 before our return to wintry Canada. We would so like to visit friends vacationing in Albufeira, algarve, Portugal, and there seem to be the only options of getting there by train and bus. The Spanish train and bus web-pages are all in Spanish, with no choice of language to decipher them! I did try to follow your web-site in one of the blogs for the train from Seville to Malage, but "nothing happened" on completing the travel details! We would be gratefully appreciative if you could give us some idea of costs, and travel time taking the train from Malaga to Seville and then by bus to Faro. We have spent two previous winters in Albufeira so have some idea of that part of the the Algarve, once in Faro. If there was a coach service all the way over that too would be great. We will await your earliest reply since we will be flying out on Jan. 21. Will be staying at the Flatotel in Benalmadena. Thank you.

There are about 5 trains per day and ot will cost about €17 to get from Malaga to Faro.

Getting bus information on the internet for Spain is not that great at the moment BUT I am sure that there are 2 buses per day from Seville to Faro, one at 0730 and another at 1630.

Here is the number of the Portuguese Bus company EVA who operate the buses (they speak english)...
