Palma Airport to El Arenal

Dear Gary

We are arriving at Palma airport on 27/08/06 at about 19.30, and would like to then travel to our hotel in El Arenal

Is there a direct bus we could catch or if not can you tell us what we may expect to pay in a taxi.

I have just read on a website prices are approx 1euro per km plus 2.40 euros for airport however to pr book a taxi prices are much more.

Having been overcharged previously from other airports we would be grateful of your help.

Interesting one...

Your right Shuttle Direct are quoting about €26 each way and I would have thought that a taxi was about €15-€20 because it's only about 15kms.

Hi Gary

Enjoyed holiday but found Arenal too noisy and busy, weather was great so it was good to get away from our miserable English summer.

We took a taxi to the hotel, going it cost 20 euros it was not one of the regular white cabs his meter started at 3.60 and went up by 1.06 each time when we reached the hotel the meter read 14 something he pressed a button and it jumped to 19.50.

On the return journey we took a white cab which was cheaper his meter started at 2.90 and went up by 90 cents until the last increase which was 1..06. The final bill was 15.50 which was better but we still felt quite expensive as the journey only took seven minutes.

Both journeys worked out cheaper than pre booking transfers. The bus was not really an option with having to go to Palma first.
