Disabled Assistance at Palma Airport

On Thu Aug 31 15:10 , 'joe swain' sent:

Hi Gary. My wife and I will be arriving at Palma airport on 7.9.06. She is disabled and can't walk very far. I have been told that it is a long walk from the aircraft though immigration etc., and to the luggage carousel. Are there any arrangements for disabled passengers? The same question is also relevant to the return flight on 21.9.06. Hpope you can help. Best wishes. Joe Swain

Hi Joe

We are getting a lot of questions form disabled passengers and it would be great to get some feedback after you have travelled, that way we can really help other people in a similar position.

As far as I know the Airline you are travelling with will arrange for you to be meet on landing and driven to the luggage collection area.

I fly in and out of Malaga every month and this is what happens for elderley and disabled passenegers 100% of the time.

I would contact your airline to confirm this, if you have any problems come back to me and I will try and find the correct telepohone numbers etc for you to call

Regards

Gary

Hi Gary,in reply to the dissability traveling.I booked with easyjet in May this year.Booking on their web site, chose the option of all help being dissabled.Check in confirmed my choice, but at the gate they had no knowledge of the help needed,we were rushed to the plane and therefore I had to walk around the barrier.I stood and told them I could not make it to the plane and had bookd assistance. They radioed for the dissablity bus with lift to the plane.Ok so I managed to get on the plane with help and no smiles.I talked with the service on board and they too had no knowledge of the help I needed It was not passed on from check in.It was a good job I had the booking form to prove I had booked all help. They then had to radio to Malaga to meet me with dissablity lift bus.It didnt arrive.I had to walk thro the tunnel to where buggies were waiting to take us to bagage claim. On return Malaga came up trumps with dissability, but failed in East Midlands again.
