Hi Gillian,

Just found this info which should help with taxi fares and bus fares...

Getting to and from Tenerife North (Los Rodeos)

The TF-5 motorway links the airport to both Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz (28 kilometres to the southwest). Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofia) is about one hour to the south, along the TF-5 and then TF-1 motorways. Bus connections are available to several destinations around the island. Buses depart the airport approximately every 30 minutes for La Laguna (€0.90), Santa Cruz (€1.20) and Puerto de la Cruz (€2..70). Another bus operates on the following route: Santa Cruz, airport, La Orotava, Buenavista (€4.95). And the #340 bus leaves four times per day for Tenerife South Airport (Reina Sofia); the one-way fare is €4.95. Taxis are plentiful outside the terminal, and charge the following rates: Santa Cruz, €10-€12; Puerto de la Cruz, €20-€23; Tenerife South Airport, €52.

The journey should take 45-50 mins in a car and 60-75 mins by bus

Hope this helps

Regards

Gary
