Hello, I would welcome your suggestions about possible ways from Reus
airport to vinaros. There will be 7 of us in total including one infant.
Travelling on 22 August arriving at reus at approx 0830 and returning on 29
august 2300 hrs. We have considered car hire but also taxi and train.
Many thanks, J Mortlock
MY REPLYHi Julie
Ok here goes....
You would need two taxis as there are 7 of you....each way its 105 kms so expect to pay €125 per taxi each way.
Private transfers are a good option, your meet in arrivals and all travel in a minibus together, the company we recommend; Shuttle Direct are quoting €607 for the return journey (425 pounds roughly!). You can get your own quote here...
Car hire is a good option but I just checked our car hire and they are out of 9 seaters, they have a couple of 7 seater Renualt Espaces left. (luggage could be a problem), the quotes for this are €425 for the week. You can get your own quote here....
The cheapest route but the most hassle is to get the bus or taxis from Reus airport into Tarragona train Station, €15-20 per taxi. Then get the train down to Vinaros. Tickets are about €6.25 each for the 1056 train. Follow this link for the train site in English, you need to choose Vinaros from the list as your destination. (please note there are not any trains from Reus to Vinaros)
It would be great to hear from you after the journey to see how you got on and which way you choose, that way we can help other people with the same sort of questions.
Hope this helps and that you ahve a great time

Hi Gary,
You may recall I wrote to you a few weeks back re: Reus to Vinaros. Heres
some feedback you requested:
We decided to go by train in the end! Taxis from Reus airport to Salou were
30 euros each (we obviously had two).
The train journey itself was fine, we had no trouble getting tickets
although I did have to speak spanish (well sort of!!)....
I found the rail link you gave me most helpful and was able to print off a
list of trains and also stations on route so we knew when to get off etc,
the fare was approx 90 euros for 5 adults and 1 child (full fare for over
12's). The only negative thing was that we only had a minute to get on/off
the train and with one oap, one baby, 6 cases and a pushchair it was a bit
like 'challange anneka!' but we made it! Also might be worth pointing out
big gap from platform to train and approx 4-5 steps up into carriage! Once
aboard it was lovely.
Journey took approx 1hr including taxis. I think in future I will either
hire a car or travel lighter!! But Vinaros is a lovely area and with family
links we will definately be returning.
Many thanks for you help, hope this feedback is of some use to you.
