Getting from Girona to Cannes

We are thinking of travelling from Girona to Cannes by car in September. Could you please advise how long it will take and which direction you would take. Would you drive without stoppinfg or is it preferable to stop the night on the ways Is Cannes a good base to stay whilst visiting Nice Monaco and St Tropez?

Hi Suzi

Unless you have a specific reason I would fly into Nimes, Montpellier or Nice rather than Girona.

Girona is about a 7 hour drive from Nice (see map & directions)

Cannes is also a good base because it's not that far from the 4 main places you wnat to visit.
