Getting from Asturias to Mieres

Dear Gary,

On Tues 5th Sept I am flying to Asturias to cycle up the Angliru mountain at La Vega Riosa near Mieres which the the other side of Oviedo from Asturias.

I fly on with Easy Jet and land at 1600 and need to hire a car for 2 days till Thursday 7th Sept.

Cheapest I could find on the 4 on your list is Amigoautos £76.15 for 2 days which seems very expensive for a compact.

Is there a bus service that could get 2 of us to the area ?

Can you recommend a reasonable hotel between Oviedo and Mieres ?

Last September I flew out for a day to check out the mountain - so know a little about the area.

Out of all the areas of Spain the Asturias area is the one I know the least about!!!

However I found this out for you...

You can get the bus from the Airport to Oviedo...

https://www.alsa.es ( site goes into English by changing the language top right)

€10.65 each return, journey 45 mins

You then need to get to the Oviedo local train station where you can get a local train up to Mieres..
