Transits at Madrid Airport

I am flying from New York to Barcelona on Iberia flight 6250 with a 1
hour stopover in Madrid. Do I have to retrieve my baggage and clear
customs in Madrid or in Barcelona? By the way, even though we change
planes, I believe the flight from New York arrives in terminal 4S and
the flight to Barcelona also departs from 4S.

Hi Andee

I am pretty siure you wouldn't need to get your baggage, it should be put directly on the next airplane, at check in in New York Ibieria will definately confirm this.

Hope you have a good trip, an hours not too long a stopover!
