Hi Gary
How great that you help people out. Enjoyed the comments.
We are trying to get to Tangier and have booked a flight to Malaga arriving at 10.20 I see frm yr site that a bus leaves at 10.45 or 1200 and takes 1.45. means we miss the 1400 ferry but I believe there are more.
Can u tell me best way to get to bus station and if I can book tickets with Autobus Alsins Graells and is my info correct. really be pleased for help as travelling with teenager

Hi Liz

Will ask Dave Bubier (bus expert) to help me out, but before I ask him I need to know exactly which ferry crossing you are taking? Algerciras, Tarifa, La Linea, Malaga?

Please let me know,

Regards

Gary

The crossing is Algeciras to Tangier expected with Balearia or FRS crossing at 1400. I guess there are no trains and a taxi would be really expensive

Just got this in from Dave Bubier who knows more about Bus travel than me....

Best plan would be to take the direct Airport bus to Marbella - go to lower floor, turn right, very end of bay - or check with info - (pay on board the bus) and then book for Algeciras on the next departure from there (Marbella). Services are by both CTSA-Portillo and TG Comes and there is no need to pre-book, just go to the window in the booking hall at Marbella Bus Station on arrival. The Algeciras bus station is a fair step from the ferry terminal, a taxi for that stage would be advisable.

It would take some nifty footwork to make the 1400 ferry, but as you say there are later sailings. Warning - obtain and carry plenty of small change in Moroccan Dirhams on the ferry - everybody, but everybody, in Tangier expects to be tipped!!!

Hope this helps

Regards

Gary
